GPC's general diagnostic charge is $40. Below is a breakdown of our prices. These prices include the $40 deposit. We have our services categorized into a few easy packages. Virus and/or spyware results in 90% of computer trouble we run into. To this end we have listed at the bottom of this page a few peices of recommended software to help you combat virus infestation.

Laptop Repair

GPC offers repair of laptops including power jack, motherboard and LCD replacement.

An experienced technician will be sent to your site within a one day notice. Our regular rate is $90 per hour, including travel time. After-hours and weekend services need to be arranged in advance and at 1.5 times rates.

GPC Offers popular service contracts to local businesses and schools in which on-site hours can be

pre-purchased for a reduced rate. These hours do not expire, can be used to pay for parts or in-store services and can be refunded if not used. The following rates are currently offered:

10 hours $800 ($80/hr)

20 hours $1,560 ($78/hr)

40 hours $3,040 ($76/hr)

80 hours $6,000 ($75/hr)

100 hours $7,400 ($74/hr)

This is the most effective and complete way of removing viruses and all other infections. GPC guarantees1 that the system is virus-free. All the data on the hard drive is deleted and a clean installation of Windows is put back on. This package is for people who do not need their data and can reinstall their applications. Packages 1 & 2 now both include windows activation and all updates.

Package 2

GPC will copy the data off the hard drive, format it, and install Windows back on the hard drive. The saved files will then be copied back to a folder on the hard drive. GPC does not guarantee the computer is free of viruses. This package is for people who need to save important data and can reinstall their applications.

Package 3

Manual Virus and spyware removal can be both time consuming and tedious. GPC will do this package only if the customer desperately needs current applications to work. Data and applications will remain in tact and only virus & spyware programs will be removed. Furthermore, in this package there is no guarantee that the computer is 100% clean; as such we strongly recommend using one of our other packages.

Package 4

Because of the Windows file structure the data saved by Package 2 will all be saved in one folder containing the same file structure as your previous windows installation. Package 4, on the other hand, will save important customer files like My Documents, favorites, e-mail addresses and other specified data files, in a format familiar to the original user; and Windows will be activated. The process will take much longer time but will be much easier for the customer to access the saved data. Recommended for people who have large amounts of data and those who are unfamiliar with windows file navigation.

Package 5

Tedious and sophisticated, laptop DC power jack repairing is very time consuming and costly. The jacks cost usually $12 to $50. Minimum labor charge is $120, some models will have to pay more; the most difficult ones, like Dell Insp 4150, SONY GRX570, Compaq R3000, HP ZV5000, and rare, exotic models will be $150.  A potential risk is involved because sometimes the mother board was damaged and replacing DC jack alone will not fix the issue. It will be too expensive to replace the mother board. In that case, GPC will have to check the laptop one more time to confirm the problem and will only charge the customer 50% of the labor cost, plus the cost of the DC jack.
